  1. Swirl Pillar By celicagtca Once again the directions are below, but I'm posting 4 basic pictures on how I did it. Step 1 is the diff., colored circles, Step 2 is how many of the colors I coordinated together, Step 3 is dropping them into the mold (let them lay the way they fall) if some are lopsided, that's ok, then the finished product pic. If you put more white in between the colors, you get more of a swirled look. I used 4625 pre-blended pillar wax for the whole project. I used 2 colors with liquid dye and a touch of titanium dioxide for the white. Three colors in total. You'll need at least 3 cookie sheets or (1) but it will take you a little longer with the (1). Melt about 1/2 lb. to 1 lb. of wax for each color, pour into cookie sheets and let stand for about 10 minutes. I used a tin can that was just a bit smaller than a 3" diameter mold and another tin smaller than the first. Punch out a bunch of circles into your wax and inner circles so the finished wax looks like donuts or candle rings. Stick them in the fridge or freezer for just a bit so they release from the cookie sheets. I used a spatula to lift the wax and then punched out the circles and the inner circles. Melt more 4625 wax, about 1 lb. for your final pour. I added the same FO to all of the wax even the plain 4625. Drop the circles into the mold, a few pink, a few coral a few white. Keep doing this till you get to the top of the mold. Pour the clear wax (no color) at 160 degrees, on top of the rings. Use a heat gun around your mold for about 1-2 minutes. Let stand till they’re done.
  2. I noticed a lot of people enjoy the Toasted Marshmallow. Can you tell me if this is just a Sweet Vanilla? I'm looking for a Toasted Marshmallow that has the toasted note also. Has anybody tried the Bonfire Bliss? Based on the description, sounds like it has more of the toasted note than the Marshmallow one. Thanks!
  3. Thanks, but can't find any links to their site.
  4. I use to get a True Orange Fragrance oil for candles from Royal Aromatics. I've noticed they've changed their name to Trilogy. Can smaller businesses still order from them or is there a large minimum or does anybody know who carries Trilogy's "Orange" oil? TIA!
  5. So next time, stay away from FD&C in M&P when embedding into CP soap. Unfortunately, no LIME in this oil, but great idea! Thank You!
  6. I made CP soap with only titanium dioxide to whiten it. A coconut type fragrance, but I put M&P embeds with a FD&C food coloring. Could this be why the brown embeds are turning a green color?? See Pic
  7. Caramel Fudge Cake is awesome and you can't beat the price.
  8. I've had similar situations with oils in the past and I've found that everytime I have an oil that has "clove" in it, the flames struggle to stay lit.
  9. Just finished testing the Pumpkin Marshmallow and it's a great thrower in soy. Very nice aroma. Just finished pouring the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Roll, will keep you posted on that one. One thing I can say about this oil, as soon as it hits the melted wax, you definately get the distinct smell of pumpkin.
  10. Anybody know of a place that carries the same Asian Spice oil as Pier 1? TIA
  11. I've never tried one of Gold Canyon's Candles but I have tried JS's version of Gingerbread House and it's really nice. http://www.justscent.com/holiday-ss3.html#6768
  12. Hi Callie, I don't wait 24 hours for my candles to cure before testing so here are the stats... 1 oz. of Buttermilk Pancakes (Bubbles N' Lites) to 16 oz. of soy wax. Poured f/o into soy at 160 degrees. 4" round jar with (2) HTP73 wicks. Burning Approximately 2 hours now in a 900 sq. ft. area and it smells wonderful. CT was great, but HT is ever better. Don't hesitate to order this oil for use in soy wax. It performs nicely!
