  1. I know soy wax should be cured before burning. Does paraffin need to be cured too? Exactly what happens during the curing process the increases scent throw?
  2. Hi Moonstar, actually It wasnt sweet enough for me. It smells kinda like feet. tI
  3. I just purchased WSP Oatmeal and Honey and am disappointed. I just do not care for it, although on their site it got stellar reviews. Im kicking myself for once again, buying a whole pound with out just ordering a little tester to begin with...
  4. I was wondering which one, paraffin or soy, do you guys think give the longest lasting melts? Not so much the strength of the throw but rather, the longevity of the throw. Stacey
  5. Does anyone know where I can find boxes like these? I feel like I have searched and searched and just cant find them.
  6. I was just wondering, does it matter what kind of warmer you have? Does one throw scent better than the other? I have the plug in style and have not had a chance to try an electric one.
  7. My main business is soap. I have tried making candles and tarts in the past but just am not very good at it. I would like to offer my customers items to scent their homes but would like to stay away from candles and tarts. I have considered room and linen spray. Can someone suggest something that would go over well? Im not sure many people use diffusers, does anyone know? Thanks
  8. What do YOU consider a long lasting melt? I have bought the ones from Walmart, I believe they are Better Homes and Garden brand and they last about a day and a half in my little outlet warmer. I think this is acceptable. What do you guys think? Has anyone compared this brand to Scentsy and how do they compare? How long do you aim for, when making your own melts? Samirish
  9. Thanks for the replies! Here is a pic of the jar I intend to use. As you can see its low, and about 4 inches wide. I have decided to just pick one jar, and concentrate on that. In the past, I tried countless jars with all different types of wick. It was chaos! lol
  10. Hi all, I have decided to try making candles again....one more time. I have given it my all, twice before over the last 6 years, and have failed spectacularly both those times. I have spent thousands of dollars, countless hours, and months of researching and testing. (as Im sure many others have as well) I have a successful soap business and it would be great if I could add candles. So here I am. This will probably be my last attempt and I pray, the candle Gods will help me. I have decided on a 4' jar. I will be using 464 and cd wicks. Can someone recommend a starting wick size for this jar? Im assuming it will need to be double wicked. Thanks to any and all that read this and can suggest something. samirish
