  1. I have already used the search feature and could not find what I am seeking. My question: how well do these work as a car fresheners? Do they hold up well in the heat of a closed car? I have done the preseed paper ones from Bell and Company Traders and really like them but have not found packaging that suits me. So I may try something new. Blessings, Don
  2. Portia, My advice to you is to go ahead and get the proper paperwork from your state. It is not a big deal. You just have to file timely returns or face steep penalties. Besides, it is best from the start to be legal and pay those sales taxes. Also, every show I have done has had somebody from the state on hand to make sure the state gets their share. So chances are you will be approached by the state wanting some money. Blessings, Don
  3. I received my shipment from Stone Stew South today. OMG!! I don't know if this will be a big seller or not but it does not matter. This stuff is great!! The scents are awesome!! Linda sure knows what she is doing. I know the FedEx guy had to love the way his van smelled today. Beautiful potpurri, great service and cool freebies---you better believe I will be a repeat customer. Blessings, Don
  4. Aztec in Knoxville, Tennessee has e very nice Dogwood. It is clean floral that is light, not overpowering at all. This one is very popular for me. Blessings, Don
  5. Thanks everybody for your replies. I have ordered 5 different varieties from Stone Stew and am looking forward to getting them. I am overrun with coffees right now but will have to try that Turtle Sundae sometime. It sounds awesome. Now, I just need to locate some small washtubs and 1 cup wooden scoops and my potpourri display is ready! Blessings, Don
  6. I have an EZ Up brand canopy that I bought on E-bay from a seller in central KY. It came with 4 sidewalls and a front awning with a sleeve for a sign. I paid @ $200 including shipping. That was 2 years ago. The unit has been wonderful. I would recommend nothing but EZ Up, but that is personal preference. HTH Blessings, Don
  7. I am considering adding potpourri to my line of items. Does this sell well for any of you? I personally love having it around but is that enough reason to carry it? Also, have any of you bought the blends from Stone Stew South? It looks great, to me. Were you impressed or should I look elsewhere? Please PM me with any negative comments I am not asking for them to be posted publicly, if there ever are any. Thanks! Blessings, Don
  8. Donita, Thank you for your willingness to share your heart and your hurt. I know that someone will seek help because of your inspiration. Domestic violence is destroying so many lives and it is time for all of us to open our eyes and join you and so many others in defending and protecting the victims who often go unnoticed. My mother was a victim until she could take no more and fought back with a cast iron skillet upside my dad's head. He left and filed for divorce because he would not be married to a woman who would hit him. I guess that is why I never missed him in my life. Also, your candles are always so beautiful! I am glad you have a way to express yourself with wax and that we get to enjoy it. Blessings, Don
  9. KY Candle Wax Supply sells a great foil liner. There are @90 in a package for $2.25. I use these and really like them. Blessings, Don
  10. I have had very good luck with Orange Blossom from Aztec. It is a soft orange and just a hint of a floral scent. I sometimes mix it with a vanilla and call it Orange Blossom Special or Big Orange Crush. Sells great in Tennessee!!! Blessings, Don
  11. I am a huge fan of Blueberry Burst from KY Candle Wax. I like it better thasn any other I have found. It is more of a bold berry scent not a bakery type. HTH Blessings, Don
  12. Fern-Marie, One of my best sellers is a fragrance called Campfire Smoke. It smells just like a wood fire burning. It is very popular with outdoorsmen. Not many women like it though. Blessings, Don
  13. Right now the strongest smell is Homemade Hot Wings and Blue Cheese... That was supper not a new candle being tested. But it does sound like it would be a bestseller!! Blessings, Don
  14. I think this is a GREAT idea! I was just telling a manager at B&BW the other day how they were missing a huge market by almost completely ignoring men. Nivea and Neutrogena are doing a decent job but they are just too darned expensive. I think you are picking the right target group The "metro" guy will be you best market. Black and silver foil are overdone, in my opinion. I would suggest a teal/turquoise color in foil or maybe a clay red color with hunter green accents. And if you need a man to test your line just PM me and I will give you my address!! LOL!!! Blessings, Don
